This is the F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) about Lovelink and this Fandom/Wiki. If you have any questions that are not listed and answered below, feel free to comment and ask. The Wiki editors will do our best to answer you.

The App

  • Can I download What's Your Story?

Not currently. Only players who have previously downloaded the What's Your Story app can still access it. It is not available on the Google Play or iTunes stores currently.

  • What is the difference between Lovelink and What's Your Story?

Lovelink originated on the app What's Your Story, but is no longer being updated on that app. As of December 2019, Ludia - the publisher of both apps - has not responded in any of their What's Your Story social media accounts. However, when Lovelink launched in September 2020, they created new Lovelink social media accounts to promote their new game.

  • How can I get a hold of tech support?

Here are instructions on how to get a hold of them in the app. However, if you cannot launch your app, you can email them at: support+forums@ludia.com or contact them through their official forum here.

Gameplay

  • What are "counterparts"?

In this app, character appearances and names are pre-set and not customizable by the player. For that reason, the app gives players a choice between two or three characters (a match and counterpart(s)) to choose from. For example, Adam Johnson and Dominic Wright are two matches who are counterparts to each other; they are both photographers who share the same storyline. If the player chooses to match with Adam, the player cannot match with Dominic and vice versa.

  • I chose the wrong match and I want the counterpart instead. Can I switch?

If you matched and have not started a conversation with the character, you can unmatch them by clicking on their profile and clicking on the gray slash heart next to their name. Then, you can match with the character model that you prefer. However, if you have already begun a conversation with the character, unmatching them will not free you to match with the counterpart. The app has "saved" your progress with the first character and will not allow you to restart. You can re-match with the same character and continue where you left off, but you will be unable to match with the counterpart.

  • Can I restart or replay stories?

Unfortunately not. The only way is to completely uninstall and reinstall your app which will also cause you to lose all your diamonds and all your progress. The game has not been updated to include any replay features.

  • How do I match with ... ?

All players can match with all characters (as long as the character is not a counterpart of a current match). You do not need a certain avatar or zodiac sign.

  • Why can't I match with ... ? They aren't the counterpart(s) to my current matches.

Certain characters are unavailable. This means their stories are not available and/or updated.

  • My match is grayed out. When will he/she come back?

Unfortunately, we don't know. Matches that are grayed out are on "hiatus" and we do not know how soon their stories will be updated.

  • What is the VIP Lounge?

The VIP Lounge is a subscription service that started in February 2021. Currently, its price is 9.99 USD/month for Apple/iTunes users and 10.99 USD/month for Android/Google Play users.

Players with VIP access can match with new characters several days before they are released to the general public. The subscription also includes a 1000 diamond bonus, and extra daily diamonds.

Players may cancel membership at any time, but the cost will not be refunded. Instead, the subscription will continue until the end of the 28-31-day period which was paid. For example, if VIP was purchased on January 1, it will renew every month on the first until it is canceled. If it is canceled on January 2, the cost will not be refunded; instead the subscription will end on January 30th or 31st and will not renew. If you wish to be refunded, you will need to contact iTunes or Google Play directly through their customer service. Be warned that they may not refund you due to the nature of the subscription model. You may also try to contact Ludia directly through the app, but you may not be successful.

Wiki/Fandom

  • Can I post fanart or manipulations of Lovelink characters?

Only in your personal profile, personal blog, discussion forum, and/or comments sections. The purpose of this wiki is similar to wikipedia.org, where we try to be a database of facts and unaltered images, where users can look up information on a character or storyline that is true for all players. This is how we differ from Reddit, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other sites.

  • Who are you? Do you work for Ludia? Can you tell them I want this?

The editors of this wiki are fans just like you. We have no association with Ludia or Lovelink and cannot contact them for you. If you want to make suggestions for the game or critique or criticize them, you can try their social media accounts listed here.

  • Can I become an admin or a moderator?

If this wiki is abandoned and there is no active administrator (admins have been inactive for 60 days or more), you may apply to become an administrator. For you to become an admin, someone with bureaucrat access must make you one, which includes FANDOM Staff.

Bureaucrats usually look for trusted users to do show the dedication, drive and abilities on maintaining and contributing a wiki. These users must have hundreds if not thousands of contributions, but quality matters more than quantity. They must establish themselves as long-standing members who can respectfully engage with users and admins.

Most of the time, rights are earned, not simply asked and especially not demanded. Bureaucrats will determine when and who to upgrade to adminship.

If there are no active bureaucrats or administrators, create a Discussions page to determine a community consensus. Once a community decision has been reached (or if there is no active community to debate the decision), please leave a message at the [Adoption:Requests page] and FANDOM Staff can provide the rights (if the eligibility requirements are met).

  • I've been blocked and I feel it is unfair and unjust. What can I do?

You may message the admin (Jadelady) on Community Central since your access to this wiki has been suspended. Please do not create another account to evade a block as that will cause your block to be extended.

  • How do I contact FANDOM staff?

FANDOM staff members have full access to all Wiki and FANDOM pages. They will be shown in Special:Listusers/staff on any wiki. Please use Special:Contact to contact FANDOM staff if problems arise in a community that the current administrative team are not solving or are causing. However, please be aware that they will advise you to try to solve your situation with the admin team first as complaining that you have a problem with an admin may not be resolved by them to your satisfaction.

  • How do I report Vandalism or Spam?
